MAXAMILLION
This pic was taken a couple years ago at "The Pie" in Salt Lake Utah.  I love Max's expression in this photo, because it shows the type of personality that he has that is not known to most people.  Max is typically a very quite boy.  He is very intelligent and surprises me a lot with his keen intellect.  He is always wanting to make right choices and does not get in trouble very often; he's always been my easiest child.  He is very comical with things he says and is always making us laugh.  He loves Harry Potter and knows the books and movies probably more than most people.  One of his favorite things to do is read, and I know he did not get that from me!  Max is a terrific artist.  I believe he gets his artistic ability from Danny's brother Rusty.  He loves to draw muscle men just like his uncle.  He has recently gained a love for coding and it would not surprise me if he creates his own app one day.  He loves playing nintendo and was so happy he got a Nintendo 3DS for Christmas.  He has always had a twinkle in his eye and he is such a handsome young man.  Max is going to do great things in his life.  He is going to have a great future because he is very smart and self motivated.   I love this boy of mine so much.  The first time I held him in my arms was a moment I will never forget.

A secret of mine that gets me through my everyday Mommy challenges, is to keep a box of See's chocolates hidden in my bedroom.  When I need a pick me up, I close my door, grab one chocolate and savor every bite!  I never have more than one per day.  See's is my absolute favorite treat!  I know every flavor just by looking at each chocolate :) Lucky me got 2 pounds of See's for Christmas and tonight I opened my first box and had my favorite, milk chocolate mint truffle!  Thanks to my Mom who knows me so well, she got me 1 pound of mint truffles.  Do any of you Mom's have a secret that gets you through a hard day?  I would love to hear!

Being a Mother

The daily life of a Mom sometimes can be a real struggle.  At this point in my life, one would think that I would have the Mommy life routine down, but a brand new day only brings new challenges to this Mommy life of mine.  I sometimes fail, and other times I succeed.  Sometimes I get frustrated, impatient, sad, depressed and angry with myself.  There are other times when I am happy and satisfied that I am doing a good job at Motherhood.  I would agree that being a Mother is the hardest job one can ever do, but it is also the most rewarding!

When I was a young Mom at 19 years of age, I welcomed a beautiful baby girl into my young life.  I never knew how much a person could love someone else, until I held that precious darling into my brand new Mommy arms.  It was one of the most memorable days of my life thus far.  Looking into her dashing dark brown eyes, I was a Mom, and I have been a Mom ever since.  One of my very favorite quotes is, "Mothers hold their Child's hand for a moment and their heart for a lifetime."  Let me reverse that and say, "Children hold their Mother's hand for a moment and her heart for a lifetime".  I love being a Mom!  I am truly blessed to have 3 beautiful, fun sweet children that I can call mine.

A little bit about me...This month I will be turning 33 years old.  I have been married to the love of my life for over 14 years now.  I have 3 kids: Melody-13, Maxamillion-10 this month and Maverik-4.  I have been a stay-at-home Mom ever since I became a Mother 13 years ago.  I have lived in too many places to count, and have seen most of the United States.  We average 2 moves per year!  Why you ask?  When I get that answer, I will let you know!  Moving around so much has definitely taken a toll on the family, but it has also given us experiences and many memories that I wouldn't change.  Some of my love's in life are: my whole family, my Savior, my friends, new socks, clean sheets, cooking, recipe books, the ocean, white sand, birds singing, piano playing, camping, fishing, shopping, eating at restaurants, new soft pajamas, sitting by a cozy fire, the warmth of the sun, Christmas, Kenny G music, ice-cream, chocolate and rainbows!

I have been wanting to start up a blog for quite some time.  Now that it is a brand new year, I have decided to make this goal happen.  I am wanting to make a daily post that consists of the life of a Mom.  Being a Mom is something I have solely been doing now for 13 years.  By no means does that make me an expert!  I make mistakes daily and my children teach me things that I am suppose to be teaching them ;) This blog is going to include recipes, household secrets, Mommy moments, advice needed posts, favorites of mine, favorites of my teenager, favorites of my boys, quotes, cleaning tricks, organizing tips and more.  Feel free to follow my daily posts!  Why do you ask that I am wanting to start a blog?  I don't keep a journal, and I realized that a blog can be my journal!  This will be something I can turn into books that I will one day give to my children!
